The Center for the Jewish Future

The Center for the Jewish Future (CJF) is located at the Wilf Campus. Its mission is to shape, enrich and inspire the contemporary Jewish community by convening the resources of Yeshiva University. CJF infuses the student body with a spirit of leadership and responsibility to Klal Yisrael [people of Israel] and society; builds, cultivates and supports communities and their lay leaders and rabbinic leadership; and creates a global movement that promotes the values of Yeshiva University, including Torah Umadda and Religious Zionism.

CJF carries out its mission through a number of diverse and dynamic programs. Among them are Torah Tours, Service Learning trips, Summer Kollels, Counterpoint, Women’s Summer Beit Midrash, the Jewish Jobs Fair and Avodat Hakodesh Night.

Torah Tours: Spreading the Yom Tov Spirit

Now in its third decade, the Aaron and Blanche Schreiber Torah Tours of CJF shares the Torah knowledge and enthusiasm of Yeshiva University and Rabbi Isaac Elchanan Theological Seminary (RIETS) students and alumni with Jewish communities throughout the world. During the holiday celebration of Simchat Torah, teams of four to six young men and women visit communities across the United States, Canada and Europe to teach Torah classes, lead singing and dancing, meet with synagogue youth and create a fun and spirited yom tov experience. In 2010, more than 400 student volunteers participated in the program. If you have any questions, please contact us at 212.960.5400 ext. 6751 or at
