19th Century British Pamphlets- This collection of 20,000 pamphlets contains the most significant British pamphlets from the 19th century held in UK research libraries. Pamphlets were an important means of public debate, covering the key political, social, technological, and environmental issues of their day.

Biblical Archaeology Society Online Archive

Biography Index Retrospective (together with Current Biography Illustrated- Provides brief biographical data on notable individuals from antiquity through 1983, taken from publications that appeared between 1946 and 1983. Your search will also retrieve full text biographical information from Current Biography Illustrated that draws from newspaper and magazine articles and books published from 1940 to the present. 

Chronicling America: American Historical Newspapers - A Library of Congress project that upon completion will provide full text access to American newspapers from 1836 through 1922.

Compact Memory - A collection of more than 100 German Jewish journals, most in searchable full text, published between 1806 and 1938.

Current Biography Illustrated (together with Biography Index Retrospective)- Provides biographical information drawn from newspaper and magazine articles and books from 1940 to the present. Your search will also retrieve brief biographical data from Biography Index Retrospective which covers sources published between 1946 and 1983 and includes information about notable individuals from antiquity through 1983. 

Early English Books Online (EEBO) - Contains digital facsimile page images of virtually every work printed in England, Ireland, Scotland, Wales and British North America and works in English printed elsewhere from 1473-1700, from the first book printed in English by William Caxton, through the age of Spenser and Shakespeare and the tumult of the English Civil War.

Eighteenth Century Collections Online (ECCO) - Digital facsimile reproductions of 138,000 English-language titles published between 1701 and 1800, including every significant English-language and foreign-language title printed in the United Kingdom, as well as thousands of important works from the Americas.

Historic Cities - This site contains maps, literature, documents, books and other relevant material concerning the past, present and future of historic cities and facilitates the location of similar content on the web.
