Summer Classes

Summer Session Courses

On-Campus Courses

On-campus classes meet either in the mornings (Monday -Thursday 9-11am and in Session I only on Friday, June 1 from 9-11am) or afternoons (Monday - Thursday 1-3pm and in Session I only, on Friday, June 1 from 12-2pm), unless otherwise noted (see below). Classes are held on two Manhattan campuses:

  • Wilf Campus in Washington Heights: 500 West 185th Street, New York City
  • Beren Campus in Midtown Manhattan: 245 Lexington Avenue, New York City

Most summer courses meet for five weeks (unless otherwise noted below). Summer Housing will be available for current YU students and visiting college students - on both campuses.

Online Courses

Online courses are asynchronous, which means that you do not need to come to campus or be online at specific times. However, all classes will have a set ending date, as well as deadlines along the way that you will need to meet. Online courses require the same amount of time and effort as face-to-face courses. While each course has its own requirements and each faculty member has his or her own approach, you should plan to spend approximately eight - twelve hours each week in the course site, in addition to time spent studying and completing assignments. Online courses will be taught in Canvas, and all students registered for online courses will have access to Canvas tutorials and technical support as part of their online course.
