Admission and Financial Aid
Quantitative is the underlying theme in the Quantitative Finance curriculum. Most of our students have an undergraduate degree or other experience in economics, mathematics, computer science, physics, chemistry, engineering and similar quantitative majors. Some students also come from finance and behavioral sciences so long as they’ve taken several mathematics courses. The faculty believe it is academically important to include students from a variety of different backgrounds and with a diverse set of experiences. Prerequisites include one course in multivariate calculus (Calc 3), one course in linear algebra, and one course in statistics/probability with a grade of B or better.
Need a refresher? We’ve developed an Accelerated Mathematics course for applicants who need a little more work before the program starts. The next Accelerated Mathematics course will be offered in the evenings, beginning in August 2020. For more information, contact an admissions director at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Candidates must possess a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and must submit the following items:
- Online application
- Official transcripts from all universities attended
- Personal Statement describing your goals and your commitment to contribute to and complete the program
- Two academic or professional recommendation letters
- Resume or CV
- Official GRE or GMAT scores
- TOEFL or IELTS scores (for candidates whose bachelor's degrees were earned at a non-English-speaking institution)
