Looking for fellowships, summer educator trips, in addition to Jewish jobs? Yeshiva University’s new and improved Jewish Career Development Expo will take place on Thursday, March 28, 2019, in the Furst Gymnasium, part of the Max Stern Athletic Center on the Wilf Campus at Amsterdam Avenue and West 185th Street.

The Expo is a great opportunity for day schools and organizations to recruit top talent in the field, including Yeshiva University students and alumni. The fair will be open from 6-9 p.m. Employers will have box dinners available starting at 5 p.m. in the Rubin Shul in the same building as the event.

New features include:

  • Partnership with JEDJobs allowing pre-review of resumes, pre-scheduling of interviews and broad publicity to job seekers
  • Extensive advertising to potential job seekers both within the YU and alumni network and beyond
  • Inclusion of agencies and opportunities beyond employment to encourage educators to attend, even if not actively seeking positions (i.e. funders, professional development programs
  • Inclusion of the Innovation Showcase, which will allow all participating employers to showcase an innovative program or practice at their setting, encouraging educators to visit their table at the expo.

Parking: There are several lots in the YU area, as well as street parking:

    • Staples Parking Lot: We encourage you to park in the Staples Lot -  4320 Broadway, in New York, NY between 184th and 185th Streets.  The entrance to the lot is on 184th Street between Broadway and Wadsworth. A YU Shuttle will be going back and forth from that entrance beginning at 4:30pm to bring you to campus. Shuttles will also take people back to Staples.  The drop off and pick up spot is Belfer Hall on 184th and Amsterdam.  The Athletics Center is to the left of Belfer Hall and Tenzer Gardens separates the two buildings.
      • Alliance Group ($15 for night parking after 5 pm)
      • Central Parking System
      • Icon Parking (there will be tons of traffic until 6:00PM - we do NOT recommend parking here or you will be late.)
Street parking is available throughout the area including:
      • Angle parking on Amsterdam Ave. between W. 190th St. and Fort George Ave.
      • Angle parking on W. 187th St. between Amsterdam Ave. and Audubon Ave.
