Yeshiva University provides paid parking for employees, visitors, and events on the Wilf Campus. Student and Alumni parking is also available for nights and shabbos only.

Parking - Update (06/15/2023)

Employee Parking fees are suspended until further notice.  Indoor Garage during business hours (8 am to 6 pm Monday thru Thursday and 8 am to 4 pm on Friday).

Note: The hours for the Indoor Garage (Parking Lot D & E) are currently 8 am to 6 pm Monday thru Thursday and 8 am to 4 pm on Friday. Access to the Indoor Garage at other times is by appointment only and prior notification to Security is required.

Commuter Student Parking is now being offered, at a reduced rate in the ICON Garage, located on Amsterdam Avenue next to Parking Lot E. You must be a registered student who is now driving to the Wilf Campus. You will be added to a list and will be able to apply directly at the ICON Garage.

Note: Students who take advantage of this reduced rate at the ICON Garage will not be eligible for a Nights and Shabbos parking permit at the same time.

Types of Parking

All applications will be submitted online only.

Please fill out and submit the application form linked below to apply for employee parking. Employee parking charges are assessed via a payroll deduction (See parking rates below).  Parking is available on a full time or part time basis.  You are responsible for maintaining your parking account.  For example; changes to your registration, license plate or driver’s license should be provided immediately to the Security Department at parking@yu.edu

Employee Parking Application

The Security Department will email all Students and Alumni when the application filing period will begin. Limited quantities are available and you must be a registered student of the upcoming semester. 

  1. All applications will be submitted online only.
  2. All applicants will be sorted into 2 separate pools: Student or Alumni
  3. Each pool has a set number of available permits, if the number of applications for said pool exceeds number of available permits this action will trigger a lottery.
  4. Lottery recipients will be notified via email and instructed to pay for their permit. The remaining applicants will be placed on a waiting list.
  5. Lottery recipients, who do not pay for their permit in a timely manner, will forfeit their permit. Forfeited permits will be made available to applicants on the waiting list. 

Please be aware that students and alumni cars must be moved from University indoor lots by 7:00 AM and outdoor lots by 8:00 AM Sunday through Friday. Failure to remove your car may result in a violation and/or towing, as well as the revocation of your parking permit.

Current students and alumni can apply for summer nights and shabbos parking but must submit a new summer application in May.

  • When applying for a parking permit, you must complete an on-line application form.  Once application is complete, agree to the terms and conditions and hit submit.
  • Parking is limited to the staff, faculty, students and alumni and vehicles on record only. No subleasing or sharing of parking space is permittedViolators will be permanently removed from the lot.
  • If you are permitted parking, you will be issued a sticker.  Your sticker should be placed on the top left corner of the front windshield and is to be visible.
  • Students, faculty and staff who terminate their affiliation with the University are not eligible for parking and must relinquish their space no later than the end of the week in which they cease to be affiliated with the University.
  • Permit holders who own more than one vehicle may purchase an alternate vehicle permit for an additional $10.00. However, only one car will be allowed in the lots on any given day. e.g.: Your primary car is not in service and you drive your alternate vehicle to work.
  • Permit holders who change cars or add a new car must register it with the Parking Office and receive a new sticker for the vehicle.
  • Each registered vehicle must display one valid YU parking permit only.  Having one vehicle with multiple valid parking permits is completely prohibited.  No exceptions.  
  • Permit holders approved for part-time parking can only park on the days indicated on their application. To change the days, a written request must be submitted to the Parking Office for approval.
  • The University reserves the right to refuse admittance to the lots to anyone who does not possess a current parking permit affixed to the front of the vehicle’s windshield.
  • Permit holders who wish to cancel their parking account must do so in writing by email at parking@yu.edu. Cancellations will be processed upon receipt of the letter or parking sticker. Permit holders are responsible for parking charges until the Parking Office receives written notification.  Anyone who cancels their account and wish to activate again, must re-apply. 
  • Carpools registered with the Security Department will be honored, all others are subject to fines.
  • Student & Alumni parking is restricted to our specified outdoor parking garages and the upper level of Lot E (indoor garage).
  • Night & Shabbos parking is permitted Sunday - Thursday between the hours of 6:00 PM - 8:00 AM (7:00 AM at Indoor garage), Friday early access is granted at 3:00 PM.  
  • Due to the observance of Sabbat Saturday, Night & Shabbos permit holders do not need to move their vehicles during Sabbath hours.
  • Yeshiva University reserves the right at the conclusion of the Sabbath to restrict access to any and all parking facilities based on the University’s need due to an event or weather related issue. 
  • The University is NOT LIABLE for personal injury, damage to vehicles, vandalism, and theft of a vehicle or its contents. Keep all valuables out of sight and lock all doors. All damage claims must be immediately reported to the Security Department before the car leaves the lot.  

  • Cars must be parked in one space only or be subject to a violation.
  • Due to the severe space restrictions, Vehicle operators who falsify their applications, allow others to use their sticker, park more than one vehicle in the lot at a time, or use their space for long term vehicle storage, will lose their parking privileges.
  • Return of the parking permit is mandatory, when one decides to no longer pay the fee or no longer works or studies at Yeshiva University. If the YU Parking permit is not returned to the Security Department, an automatic fee of $50.00 will be assessed via Payroll deduction or Student Accounts.
  • Any vehicle without an overnight permit or found parked in an University lot with a non-registered vehicle, parked on a campus roadway, sidewalk or mall area are subject to a violation or boot.  
  • First violation is a warning and does not carry a fee. The 2nd Violation and subsequent violations will have a $75.00 fee. Vehicle may be immobilized any time on/after your 2nd violation. Immobilized (booted) vehicles due to violations will be released upon payment of a $100.00 fee, plus all outstanding balances from incurred violations. All balances must be settled to obtain a permit in any semester.
  • Storage fee of $10.00 per calendar day will be applied to all immobilized vehicles.

NOTE: Speeding or reckless driving will result in action against operator/owner of vehicle and may result in exclusion of vehicle from campus. The permit decal is also removed from the vehicle when it has been excluded from campus. A replacement fee will be charged at the end of the imposed penalty period to obtain another decal.

To use the parking facility a vehicle must be registered with Security office and parking fees paid. Parking permit fees are determined on a monthly basis for employees and faculty members. Permit fees for undergraduate and graduate students are determined from September 1 to December 31 for the Fall Semester and January 1 to May 31 for the Spring Semester. The parking rates listed below include applicable New York State taxes. Yeshiva University remits the applicable taxes to New York State.
