Clinical Associate Professor of Biology
Dr. Harriet Zuckerbraun received a BA in botany from Barnard College, Columbia University, an MA in biology from Brandeis University, and a Ph.D. in Microbiology from the Sue Golding Graduate Division, Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Yeshiva University. She was a postdoctoral fellow there as well. She is a full-time lecturer and research associate at the Stern College for Women. Her teaching interests encompass courses for biology majors as well as nonmajors. She developed two lecture courses for majors, both of which concentrate on public health concerns. One course studies human viruses and disease; the other, biology of women's health. Her research, carried out in the In Vitro Toxicology Laboratory of Stern College, involves studying the effects of nutraceuticals on normal and cancer cells.
