2001 Bachelors degree in Chemistry, National University of Mexico 2003 MS and 2007 Ph.D. in Inorganic Chemistry, Yale University 2007-2009 Postdoctoral Research Position at the University of Basel in Switzerland 2009-2010 Columbia University Fellowship to teach Frontiers of Science to freshmen and conduct organic chemistry research. Joined Yeshiva University in 2010.

Organometallic chemistry lies at the interface between organic and inorganic chemistry. We devote our research to designing new palladium complexes as catalysts to functionalize aromatic molecules. The best strategy is to aim not only at catalyst screening, but mainly at detection, synthesis and study of potential reaction intermediates. A detailed understanding of the stability and reactivity of these organometallic species can provide useful information for the improvement of catalytic performance or lead to the discovery of new catalytic transformations.
