Buildings and Facilities
Dorms, classrooms, offices, dining halls and common spaces have all been cleaned as per the CDC and OSHA guidelines. Cleaning will continue with a skeleton staff for the foreseeable future.
All buildings on all campuses are closed. Access can be granted by calling the security office at 212-960-5200. The mailroom will be available Monday thru Friday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. via the Belfer Hall main entrance. Parking lot E on the Wilf campus is open Monday thru Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. At other times, arrangements must be made in advance by calling the security office at 212-960-5200.
There will be no minyanim (prayer groups) on campus. Everyone should be davening beyechidus (individually) and learning beyechidus (individually) for a refuah shleima (speedy recovery) for those ill and impacted by the coronavirus.
At this time, the museum remains closed to visitors.
Libraries on the Wilf and Beren campuses will be closed to students and visitors but will be offering virtual access to our files. There is live chat for real-time exchanges that is available from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Monday thru Thursday and 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Friday. Gyms and fitness centers are closed until further notice.
All undergraduate dorms will be closed for Passover as previously scheduled and will not reopen following Passover. If you need to retrieve essential items from your dorm room, please contact Berenhousing@yu.edu or Wilfhousing@yu.edu to make those arrangements. The Benjamin, which houses graduate students, will remain open through July 2020. A decision about the Benjamin beyond July, will be made well before that time.
