Bella Adler
 

Bella Adler '20S

Bella Adler works as a fellow in the SAR High School Beit Midrash. She graduated from Yeshiva University with a degree in Jewish Education where she served as president of student council. There she organized a 100+ page Haggadah with artwork and articles from 50+ students. She spent countless  summers at Camp Stone and as a head counselor on YU’s Counterpoint - where she directed an English immersion camp for underserved Israeli youth. Bella is passionate about intentional, inclusive, creative Jewish education and has been published in the Journal of Jewish Day School Leadership. Bella is an avid tennis fan and loves to read!

 

Jospeh Ammar
 

Joseph Ammar '16SB

Joseph Ammar heads investments at 18 Main including the firm’s acquisition and developments activity across the US. Additionally, Mr. Ammar is responsible for the firm’s capital structuring and financing activity. Prior to 18 Main, Joseph served as head of real estate investment & management at Data Driven Properties initiating their investment platform. At Data Driven Properties he grew the investment activity in the short-term and vacation rental spaces as well as building their corresponding management platform. Prior to Data Driven Properties, Joseph started his career as an Analyst at Hyde Capital/Lennox Companies, where he was involved in over $150m of acquisition and disposition activity. Joseph earned his BA in finance from Yeshiva University while interning at both Morgan Stanley and Raymond James. 
 

Evan Axelrod
 

Evan Axelrod '19SB

Evan graduated Magna Cum Laude from the Honors Program at Yeshiva University’s Sy Syms School of Business in 2019. During his time on campus a few of his positions included President of TAMID Group, Senior Editor of The Commentator and President of the Investment Banking Society. He interned at Van Biema Value Partners, a fund of funds, and Viola Group, an Israel-based venture capital firm, during his summers. He is currently an Investment Banking Analyst at Goldman Sachs in the Consumer Retail Group.


 

 

Brandon Barrett

Brandon Barrett graduated from the Yeshivah College English department manga cum laude with a minor in music 2018. He received the 2018 Yeshiva University award for excellence in English studies, was the VP of AEI's executive council on campus, lead the jazz and rock ensemble for multiple semesters, and was the president of the YU fitness club. Brandon currently attends the Georgetown University Law Center in Washington, D.C. where he focuses his studies on corporate transactions. Brandon will begin work as a Corporate Associate at Cahill Gordon & Reindel in Q4 2022 in their corporate finance and M&A group. Brandon believes YU is one of the most important Jewish institutions in the world and is excited to build a strong professional network for our future graduates together. Brandon is happy to connect. Efraim Benscher '18SB

Moshe Efraim graduated from the Sy Syms School of Business in 2018. During his time on campus, he was involved in multiple clubs and student life activities such as TAMID, student life committee, class representative, and treasurer of the business school. Jake
 

Jake Benyowitz '20YC

Jake graduated from Yeshiva University in 2020 with a Political Science degree focusing on International Affairs and Security Studies. When Jake was on campus, he was president of YUPAC, making it one of the most prominent clubs on campus. He was named AIPAC’s Advocate of the year in 2019 and brought the largest college delegation to the 2020 AIPAC Policy Conference. He was chosen as one of nine International Jewish students to be a Ronald S. Lauder Fellow representing the World Jewish Congress on campuses. Jake has also interned for AIPAC, as well as the Consulate General of Israel in Los Angeles, and has spoken at multiple Pro-Israel conferences. After graduating, Jake gave back to Yeshiva University by working with their Alumni Affairs Department as their Alumni Engagement Associate. There, he focused on engaging Young Alumni and creating the vibrant young alumni network. He is currently the Associate Regional Manager, in New York, for Club Z which educates teens by giving them the tools to combat Anti-Semitism and Anti-Zionism in their communities and on their future college campuses. Boruch (Eli) Gralnik

 

Boruch (Eli) Gralnik ‘18SB

Boruch (Eli) Gralnik joined Vcheck in 2018 as VP of Sales. From the start, he has been involved in its firm-wide business development efforts and now oversees all sales for the West Coast. Through his energetic personality and strong work ethic, he has been able to generate partnerships with publicly traded companies, banks, and the largest financial institutions in the world. Connecting his love of sports to his life in the business world, his hard work and determination to grow is what drives him. Justin Hod
 

Justin Hod '19SB

Justin Hod graduated with honors from Yeshiva University Sy Syms School of Business in 2019. Justin played on the YU Basketball team from 2016-2019, and helped YU win its first ever conference championship in 2018. Since graduating, Justin has been working as a Financial Advisor at Merrill Lynch in their Wealth Management department, where he uses his own unique investment approach to help families, businesses, & individuals invest in their own futures. Justin is extremely passionate about helping improve Yeshiva University, and is excited to be a part of the YU Alumni Council and be able to help people within the YU community flourish in their own careers and lives. Carol Jacobson
 

Carol Jacobson '15S (Co-Chair)

Carol graduated Stern in 2015 as a PR/English Lit major and a proud alum of the Stern Volleyball team. Upon graduation, she worked for three years as the director of Seattle NCSY before transitioning into her current role as the Director of Early Engagement at AIPAC. She currently lives in Tel Aviv with her husband Shuey (YC ’16 and also a former YU athlete - on most given days you can still find them running or playing volleyball on the beach in Tel Aviv!) Carol is passionate about ensuring that graduates of YU and Stern will look back fondly on their experience in college and is excited to be using her role on this council to do so.

Aliza Klein '19SB 

Aliza graduated as Valedictorian of Yeshiva University's Sy Syms School of Business in 2019. While on campus, Aliza served as President of the Investing and Real Estate clubs. Upon graduation, Aliza worked as a Project Coordinator of Real Estate Development at WeWork. She is currently an Asset Manager at GMF Capital, a Real Estate Private Equity firm.



 

Michael Klein
 

Michael Klein '18SB (Co-Chair)

Michael graduated as Valedictorian of Yeshiva University's Sy Syms School of Business in 2018. His on-campus activities included serving as President of the Finance Club, Investing Club, and Investment Banking Society, as well as Captain of the NCAA Men's Volleyball team. His internships included summers at Starboard Value, a leading activist hedge fund, and Morgan Stanley Investment Banking. Post graduation, Michael spent two years at Morgan Stanley, in their Global Industrials Investment Banking group, and is currently a Private Equity Associate at AEA Investors, a leading global private investment firm focused on private equity and debt investments in the middle market.

 

Max Leventer
 

Max Leventer 

Max is from Deal, New Jersey and graduated from Sy Syms in May 2020 with a major in Marketing and minor in Management. During his time on campus, he was involved in multiple clubs and student life activities such as the Menswear club, Baking club, Painting club, Sephardic club, and more.  He wants to give back to YU for everything he has gained during his three years there. Max recently passed the New Jersey Real Estate License Exam and is working as an agent. He is devoted and driven to do whatever it takes to help find you find you’re looking for. He encourages jumping on every opportunity that comes your way, and he knows that joining the YU Young Alumni Council is one such opportunity. He looks forward to adding value wherever he can.

 

Chayim Mahgerefteh
 

Chayim Mahgerefteh '20SB

Chayim is from Great Neck, New York and graduated from Sy Syms in May 2020 with a major in Accounting and minor in Finance. Chayim was on the Sy Syms Student Council for two consecutive years, first as Treasurer and then as President. He wants to give back to YU for everything he has gained during his three years there. Chayim recently passed all four section of the CPA and is now a Tax Associate at Grant Thornton.

 

 

Avi
 

Avi Margulies '17SB

Avi graduated from Syms in 2017 and is currently a Healthcare Investment Banking Analyst at Torreya Partners. Previously, he spent two years at H.C. Wainwright in their Equity Capital Markets group where he worked on over 75 public equity transactions. While at YU, Avi co-founded the Roller Hockey team where he played from 2015-2017 and coached in 2018, leading them to a conference championship and consecutive Elite 8 appearances at the National Tournament. Avi is passionate about helping YU students and alumni with their careers and is always available to connect at avimargulies@gmail.com.

 

Talia Molotsky
 

Talia Molotsky '16S, '20A

A native Chicagoan, Talia Molotsky currently lives in Chicago and works as a Human Resources Manager at All-Stat Portable. Talia is a YU graduate of Stern College (’16) and Azrieli (’20) and studied at YU's Graduate Program of Advanced Talmudic Studies (GPATS). While a student, Talia was the President of the Torah Activities Student Council (TAC) and was heavily involved in campus live. She loved her YU student experience! After graduating, Talia worked for YU as the Assistant Director of Student Life in Manhattan and in the Office of Admissions in Jerusalem. Among other roles in NCSY and JUF, Talia served as the Community Intern at Lincoln Square Synagogue and Adult and Teen Educator at Congregation Keter Torah. In her spare time, Talia is a Zumba instructor. Talia founded an all-women’s Zumba group in Washington Heights called "Zumba in the Heights” in the hopes of providing positive fitness opportunities and a social outlet for teens and women in the local community.

Gabrielle Orenbuch '16S

Gabrielle graduated from Stern in 2016, with a major in Biology and minor in Business and Management. After graduation she received a Doctorate in Pharmacy from Touro College of Pharmacy in NYC. She is currently working as a Pharmacist at Rite Aid Pharmacy in Upper Manhattan. Throughout her time at Stern and TCOP, she participated in many organizations combining both pharmacy and leadership. She is passionate about medicine and healthcare and looks forward to connecting with many YU and Stern alumni and undergraduate students.


 

Tova Pfeffer
 

Tova Pfeffer '18SB

Tova was born and raised in Cleveland Ohio. In 2018 she graduated Summa Cum Laude from Yeshiva University, Sy Syms School of Business with a B.S. in Accounting. Following her graduation from Yeshiva University, Tova continued her education at New York University School of Law. Tova will be working following graduation at Simpson Thacher. One consistent theme throughout Tova's academic path thus far, is her interest in giving back to the community around her. She is excited to be a part of the Young Alumni Council and give back to the Yeshiva University community in a variety of ways.

Yona Rom 

Yona graduated as Valedictorian of Yeshiva University’s Sy Syms School of Business in 2020. While on campus, Yona served as a peer tutor for a variety of finance / accounting classes and as President of the Investment Banking Society. During his summers, he interned for RBC Dominion Securities, MSD Partners and Morgan Stanley’s Global Industrial Investment Banking group, which he later joined as a full-time analyst upon graduation. He is currently a research analyst in the Kantor Group at Neuberger Berman – a private multi-strategy investment management firm.

Rebecca Saragossi  '17SB

Rebecca is a Manager of Business Science at MediaCom. She helps her clients optimize their media and marketing investments through data analysis, forecasting and modeling. The clients she works on range from Signet Jewelers to J.P Morgan Chase. Before that, she worked at Ipsos, a Market Research firm. While Rebecca was in college she founded Tamid (alongside Ezra Kapetansky and Ariel Mintz). Rebecca loved her college experience and is really looking forward to connecting to other alumni! Jeremy Shevach  '18SB

Jeremy is a JD/MBA candidate at New York University Law School and Stern School of Business. He graduated as a salutatorian from Yeshiva University's Sy Syms program in 2018, where he studied finance and accounting. While at YU, Jeremy was the president of the Real Estate Club and Accounting Society. Upon graduation from NYU, Jeremy will be practicing real estate law at Ulmer & Berne, based in Cleveland, Ohio.



 

Benjamin Shtaynberger
 

Binyomin Shtaynberger  '18YC, '22E

Binyomin graduated from Yeshiva College in 2018 with a biology major and finance minor. He is currently beginning his 4th year of medical school at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. During his time on campus, Binyomin was on the board of the Medical Ethics Society, president of the Medical Halacha Committee, and spent time doing research on rare brain cancers at Weill-Cornell Medicine. Binyomin loves YU and is excited to be a part of this amazing new initiative!



 

Avi Strauss
 

Avi Strauss '18YC, '20K

Avi is currently working as a healthcare consultant at the Marwood Group, where he is a senior analyst. His firm focuses on legislative and regulatory policy analysis, health coverage, and payor reimbursement to provide due diligence and advisory services to clients engaged in mergers and acquisitions in the healthcare sector. 
Avi is also a recent graduate of Yeshiva University’s Katz School, after completing his Master of Science degree in Biotechnology Management and Entrepreneurship (BME). A proud endorser of the relatively new BME program, Avi continues to speak with prospective students about the benefits of pursuing a specialized masters and providing general professional advice to students seeking to enter the healthcare/life sciences consulting profession. Avi earned his Bachelor of Arts from Yeshiva College (’18) in both Biology and Political Science.

Daniel Tamir ‘18SB

Daniel is a Financial Advisor at Merrill Lynch in the Wealth Management department of Bank of America. Graduated with honors from Yeshiva University's Sy Syms School of Business in 2018, Daniel coached the Men's Basketball team for four consecutive seasons leading them to two championships. His on campus activities include managing the Charno School Fund and working with the special needs' MAKOR group. Daniel’s work is now focused on offering comprehensive Wealth Management. Daniel is driven by his passion for delivering excellent service and helping families and small businesses pursue their dreams and goals. In conjunction with the local Jewish organizations ,he and his family sponsor and attend social events for local families, which affords Daniel the opportunity to hear from the people whose lives are being directly impacted by economic uncertainty. Sarah Torgueman '20SB

Sarah graduated from Yeshiva University's Sy Syms School of Business, where she studied Finance and Data Analytics. Graduating summa cum laude in May 2020, she is also the recipient of the Dean's Award for Service and Character. Sarah is currently a technology consultant at Accenture. Her experience in data analytics, investments, and startups coupled with her passion and gratitude to YU brought her to the Young Professionals Alumni Committee. Sarah was also a student on Maccabee Ventures’ founding committee and now serves on its advisory board.

Rivky (Terebelo) Rosenfeld graduated from Yeshiva University, Sy Syms School of Business in 2021 with a degree in Strategy and Entrepreneurship (Business Management) and a minor in Finance. While on campus, Rivky was president of Active Minds and was involved in other activities both on and off campus. Rivky now works as Career Strategy Coordinator at Yeshiva University’s Shevet Glaubach Center, after having worked there as a student employee throughout her senior year at YU

 

 

Mordechai Weiss
 

Mordechai Weiss '18SB

After a short-lived basketball career on the Macs, Mordechai focused his energy on business and entrepreneurship. While participating in the honors program at Yeshiva University, he created a tech start-up. As the founder, Mordechai led a team of eight employees to design the software, raise capital and launch “LIT” across the East Coast, garnering over 10,000 users.  Mordechai graduated as valedictorian of the James Striar School and obtained his accounting degree from Yeshiva University in 2018. He is currently in his third year at NYU Law School with plans to join Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher upon graduation. He has taken a keen interest in real estate law, which stems from past experience in real estate development. Mordechai is very passionate about helping and improving one of the most important Jewish institutions in the world - Yeshiva University. His goal for the young alumni council is to connect his fellow talented graduates as they progress and succeed in their careers. Joshua Wildes
 

Joshua Wildes, '16SB, '19C

Joshua Wildes, Esq. (Syms '16; Cardozo '19) currently works as an Attorney Advisor in the Department of Justice’s Executive Office For Immigration Review at the Miami Immigration Court through the Attorney General’s Honors Program. He obtained this job after graduating from Yeshiva University's Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, where, as a member of Cardozo's Arts and Entertainment Law Journal, he focused on the intersection between student athletes and immigration law. Prior to law school, he graduated as the valedictorian of the James Striar School at Yeshiva University, where he also obtained a degree in Business Management and Marketing from the Sy Syms School of Business. Josh has experience with immigration law, having worked at his family’s firm, Wildes & Weinberg, since a young age. He also served as a Legal Intern for the Department of Homeland Security's Immigration and Customs Enforcement Office of Chief Counsel, as well as for the Department of Justice's U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of New York (Civil Division). Separately, Josh served as the Vice President of a start-up sports agency, and has held many other internships and positions, including in the general counsel's office of a licensing company. Josh was raised in Englewood, NJ, but spent his high school years in New York City, where he attended the Ramaz Upper School. Josh looks forward to a career in immigration law and working with YU students and alumni to help them reach their goals.
