All students proceeding to the second round of the Honors application process must participate in an Honors Day on campus. The Honors Day is a great opportunity to experience our campus and learn more about the Honors Programs. The Honors Day will include the interview component of the application.
The dress code for the honors days is business attire. Applicants are encouraged to take the presentation of themselves as seriously as possible, and they should be aware of the impressions they are making.
Schedule of the Day
Men’s Honors Days on the Wilf Campus generally run from 10:45 a.m. to 5:45 p.m. A light lunch and dinner are provided.
Women’s Honors Days on the Beren Campus generally run from 9:45 a.m. to 4 p.m. A light breakfast and lunch are provided.
Events of the Day
Honors Days typically include a chance to meet other applicants, the deans of the colleges, directors of the programs, and current students. Applicants will also sit in on Honors type classes and have their Honors Interview.
Interviews are scheduled for 30 minutes in length and are conducted by two interviewers, often a member of the Office of Admissions and a member of the faculty. During the interview, applicants should be prepared to speak about the full contents of their application as well as their goals and areas of interest.
