    The following links will help expedite the purchasing process and assist you in placing computer and computer-related orders. Please note that all Dell orders must be in Open Format.

    Apple Purchases

    Please follow the steps listed below to help expedite your Apple purchases. After reading these directions, click on the link below to create a Web proposal.

    1. Under "Institutional Purchases," click College or University proposal.
    2. If not already selected, choose Albert Einstein Clg of Med or Yeshiva University (depending on which campus you are located) by selecting New York as the state and typing in Bronx or New York into the city. Then click "Find." Next, highlight the appropriate school and click "Continue."
    3. Select the computer, peripherals or software that you would like to purchase and add them to the order. Please note that all Microsoft software, including Office 2004, is purchased through our MS Select Agreement.
    4. When you are finished shopping, click "Create Proposal."
    5. Log on to your account by typing your e-mail and password and then click the "Sign In" button. If you don't have an account, click "New Account" and put in your personal information.
    6. This brings you to the Proposal Information Web page.Your personal information should be displayed on your screen. Under "Purchasing Agent's Email Address," enter rgandolf@yu.edu. Click "Continue" on the bottom of the page. This will e-mail your proposal to the Purchasing Department.
    7. You will see a confirmation page. Print this page out and save it for your own records. On the top of the page is a Web proposal number. Include this number when you create a purchase requisition.

    Dell Purchases

    Yeshiva University and Dell have set up a Web site to expedite the purchasing process. This site will enable you to configure your machine with Yeshiva's discounted prices and track your purchases. Click here to see Microsoft software pricing.

    To configure a computer or peripherals, click on the link below after reading the following directions:

    1. If you have a Dell Premier account, log in and skip to step 2. If you are a new user, you will need to create a User Account. To do so, type in the appropriate information and click "Continue." This will take you to Yeshiva University's Premier page. If you have any problems logging onto the premier page, call the Premier Help Desk at 877.542.3355.
    2. On your welcome screen, you will see two special priced desktop computers, and two special priced laptop computers to choose from. Click on "Configure" next to the one of your choice to configure the computer to your needs. If you are looking for a different computer, scroll over "Systems" (on the top left of the page) and choose the computer that your are looking for.
    3. Click on the computer of your choice and choose your specifications. When you are finished configuring your computer, click on "Save Equote" at the bottom of the page. On the next page that opens, you will be asked for your name and e-mail address--send this e-quote to rgandolf@yu.edu. This will enable Purchasing to retrieve it.
    4. Click on the "Continue" button; after doing so, you will be given an Equote number. Make a record of it or print out this number and reference it when you create your Yeshiva University computer (in Open Format) or paper requisition following the University's Purchasing Policy and Procedures.   Click here to see Microsoft pricing.
    5. If you want to review the computer that you created, click "E-Quotes" on the top right of the page. This will bring up any machine that you create.

    To track your order, follow these steps. Note that it may take approximately 48 hours from receipt of the order to it showing up online.

    1. Go to theYeshiva University Dell Premier Page. The link is provided below.
    2. Log in with your e-mail and password.
    3. Click on "Order Status" located on the top of the page. This will open up a new Web browser.
    4. Under "Choose Reference Number Type," choose "PO Number" and enter your PO number. Under "Choose Verification Type," choose "Billing Zip Code" and enter 10461. Then click "Submit."

    HP Printers and Scanners

    The following is the pricing for HP printers and scanners. To purchase one of these printers, please create a requisition with Gov Connection as the vendor following the University's Purchasing Policy and Procedures for creating a requisition. If the printer is supported by the University ITS department and is over $500, ITS approval is required.
