  • Sustainability Courses

Across Yeshiva University, sustainability-focused and -related courses are offered as they pertain to these definitions:

    • Sustainability-focused courses concentrate on the connection between social, economic and environmental dimensions. These courses look to engage students on meeting the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their needs by emphasizing the limitations of natural capital and the interconnectedness of systems.
    • Sustainability-related courses cover one or more of the sustainability components within the course. These topics include, but are not limited to, economic development, public health, social justice and ethics, energy, water, and environmental law, science and policy.
    • Sustainability in research concentrates on one or more of sustainability’s components: social, economic and environmental dimensions and solutions that support them.

Attached is an extensive list of courses offered in each of our schools.
