When she lost her brother, Seymour, Florence Seiden and her mother decided they wanted to do something special in his name. "We thought about his values," says Florence. "Seymour was deeply interested in education and business, so we both said, let's do something for Sy Syms School of Business and for Yeshiva University." So they endowed the Seymour Seiden Memorial Scholarship Fund.
Remembering how rewarding the experience was, she also endowed an annual lecture at Stern College for Women in memory of her parents, Gertrude and Hyman Seiden. "I believe in Yeshiva University and what it stands for," says Florence. "This lecture is a great way to honor my parents."
