Safety & Security

Campus and Inter Campus Shuttles

The health and safety of our community is our top priority, and we continue to monitor the Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation in close consultation with the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (DOHMH) and other governmental agencies

Dear Students,

We are happy to announce that the inter-campus shuttle service between the Wilf and Beren campuses will resume in August 2023. The shuttle will be on a reservation basis for undergraduate students only, and will run on a limited schedule.  We will be using a school bus, instead of our regular van, to provide for social distancing.  We hope to continue service between campuses as long as ridership is consistent and health conditions permit.  Students who reserve a seat on the shuttle and do not use the space, or who do not adhere to our safety protocols, will put the sustainability of the shuttle at risk. We also hope to continue to offer additional inter-campus transportation for some events as well.

  • Students should arrive at the designated pickup spot 15 minutes prior to departure if possible .
  • Students should sit in every other seat, so they are not directly next to, behind or directly across from someone.
  • Students will remain in their seat while bus is in transit.
  • A valid YU ID card must be shown to the driver and security before entering the shuttle along with confirmation of their reservation.
  • Inter-campus shuttles will transport passengers to the Wilf & Beren Campuses ONLY.

Pickups and drop offs will be from the following locations:

  • Wilf Campus – Amsterdam Ave facing north between 186th & 187th Street by Burger & Grill restaurant.
    • Students can wait for the shuttle in the lounge of Morgenstern Residence Hall.
  • Beren Campus – Brookdale Residence Hall 50 East 34Th Street.
    • Students can wait for the shuttle in the front lounge of Brookdale Residence Hall

All undergraduate students can sign up for the shuttle using one of 2 different methods.
