TRADERS TO TARTARY - 
HANDLE THE MERCHANDISE

This exhibition presents an experiential tour of the trading routes followed by itinerant Jewish merchants who crisscrossed the continents of Europe and Asia buying and selling their goods.  A traveler’s cart stocked with goods from each area invites them to handle the merchandise.

Ages 6-12, Adults welcome.
Free with Museum Admission.
Space is limited.  Admission is on a first come, first serve basis.
 


MAKE IT SHINE!
Sunday, November 24
2:00-4:00 p.m.
METAL EMBOSSED HANUKKIOT WORKSHOP

Craft your own Hanukkiah this year b drawing from the rich Jewish tradition of metal embossing.  We will get inspiration from photos of traditional pieces, then apply metal tooling over a wood base to create a Hanukkiah that's fireproof and durable.

Museum Admission + $3 Materials Fee.
Ages 9 and up.

PAPER ART
Tuesday, December 3 and
Thursday, December 5
2:00-4:00 p.m.

Personalize your gift wrap and note cards this year with hand-made stationary of your own design.  Make your own paper, then create your won design with decorative stamps.

Free with Museum Admission. 
Ages 6-12.


BIRTHDAY BASH FOR THE TREES
Sunday, January 12
2:00-4:00 p.m. 
Painting Workshop
with Artist Tobi Kahn

In celebration of Tu B'Shevat, the Birthday of the Trees, participants will use plant forms as inspiration to paint with acrylics on canvas under the guidance of an outstanding artist and educator, Tobi Kahn.  Plan enough time to visit the current exhibition of his work, Micro Cosmos, at YUM.

Admission + $3 Materials Fee.
Ages 6-12.
