REFERRALS TO METRO LIBRARIES
The Yeshiva University Libraries are members of the Metropolitan New York Library Council (METRO). Yeshiva University students, faculty, and staff may obtain referral cards to other METRO libraries upon request.
A referral card:
- May be issued only to gain access to material which is not available at the Yeshiva University Libraries or through the New York Public Library system
- Permits one-time use of the material on-site
- Does not entitle the user to borrowing privileges, nor does it guarantee availability of the material at the time of the visit
Reference librarians in the Hedi Steinberg Library and the Pollack Library will provide you with a METRO referral card as appropriate.
For a searchable list of METRO libraries and their websites, consult the METRO Members Directory.
ASK A LIBRARIAN
Welcome to Ask a Librarian, the Library's online reference service. This service is available to current Yeshiva University faculty, students, and staff. Send us your reference question. Please make it as specific as possible and avoid jargon and acronyms. Provide one question per e-mail message. An acknowledgement that your question has been received will be sent shortly after you submit it. You will typically receive a reply within 2 days excluding weekends and holidays.
