The purpose of this web site is to serve as a central resource of information that will assist members of the University Community in avoiding viruses and addressing other information security issues.

The web site is in the nascent stage of development, however, in view of the seriousness of recent virus attacks, we believed that it should be activated now. Additional information will be added as development continues.

The site currently contains:

Free anti-virus software to protect your computer and data against viruses. Please note: This free software is only available to faculty,  employees and students residing within the University Intranet.

The latest University virus alert which will be updated whenever a new highly destructive virus poses a serious threat to the University;

Hyperlinks to anti-virus software vendor web sites that will provide quick access to virus information;

Safe computing practices for you to follow that will safeguard your computer files against many types of viruses;

Information Security Tips Bulletins;

Yeshiva University Computer Policy Handbook; and

A listing of information security personnel.
