You are to write an original research paper (ca. 2000 words) in which you explore and evaluate a variety of critical viewpoints on one of the Tales and its links.

 
bulletA preliminary outline and bibliography are due on THURSDAY NOVEMBER 20th.
bulletA final paper is due on the last class day.

 

Format: The submitted paper must be typed, double-spaced on 8 1/2 x 11" paper.  Margins should be approximately 1" on all sides.  A cover sheet, done according to suggested MLA guidelines, should precede the paper.   The pages of the paper should be fastened with a single staple in the top left-hand corner.  Do not put the paper in a folder or plastic cover.

Include all drafts and research materials in an accompanying envelope.

Documentation: You may use either MLA or Chicago (footnote) documentation style.
