Pollack library has a pretty good collection of books on Chaucer. The library also subscribes to The Chaucer Review and other first-rate journals on medieval subjects, notably Exemplaria and Speculum. Another "user-friendly" library is the Mid-Manhattan branch of the NYPL (on Fifth Ave between 40-41 Streets). Some valuable online resources are: Annotated Guide to Online Chaucer Resources (David Wilson-Okamura) Harvard's Chaucer Page [rich resources for study of the Canterbury Tales, with a separate page, with many links, for each tale] New Chaucer Society home page [includes direct access to Chaucer texts on line and other valuable resources] The Labyrinth [a major resource for medieval studies in general, with an excellent Chaucer section] The Luminarium Chaucer Page [texts, visual materials, criticism, etc.] Glossarial database of Middle English [a searchable database] Middle English Text Search (U. of Virginia) Peter Collinson's Canterbury Tour
