Pollack library has a pretty good collection of books on Chaucer. The library also subscribes to The Chaucer Review and other first-rate journals on medieval subjects, notably Exemplaria and Speculum. Another "user-friendly" library is the Mid-Manhattan branch of the NYPL (on Fifth Ave between 40-41 Streets).
