This year’s exercises mark the 77th annual commencement of Yeshiva University and the 21st to be held off campus. In 2008, Yeshiva University returns to Madison Square Garden in the WaMu Theater. Annual academic commencements were not instituted until 1932, when the first graduates of Yeshiva College completed their studies.
Graduates of each of the University’s schools and divisions will participate in this year’s exercises. Two outstanding individuals will receive honorary degrees. During this commencement season, some 2,000 degrees and diplomas will be awarded at these and other commencement ceremonies.
