• Connectors

  • A special feature of YUConnects is the "Connectors"- a group of married men and women, most of whom are Yeshiva University undergraduate alumni - available to meet with members after they enter their information online and to suggest prospective dating opportunities for members. Connectors are experienced in helping singles network and are trained in the field of relationship building.

     Rebbeca Amster, originally from Miami Beach, has a PhD in clinical psychology from Ferkauf Graduate School and currently resides in Washington Heights. 


    Rebecca Ashkenas, originally from Fair Lawn, NJ currently resides with her husband Ari in Washington Heights, NY. Rebecca is working towards a Master's degree at Hunter College School of Social Work. 

     
    Sima Bachrach

    Sima is born and bred in Washington Heights and raised her family here as well. She has worked many years in the field of drama including acting, directing, coaching, and teaching. She is a member of numerous community chesed organizations including various shidduch groups. She is also an active matchmaker on SYAS.

    Rebbeca Belizon, originally from Lawrence, NY, currently resides in FarRockaway, NY. Rebecca is married to Rabbi Eli Belizon, an entering member of the Kollel Elyon. Rebecca holds a Masterís Degree from Azrieli, taught at SKA and Shaalvim for Women.

    Varda Berkovitz  

    Varda Berkovitz resides in Passaic, New Jersey with her family. She is actively involved in Yad L'Simcha: the Passaic/Clifton Shidduch Committee, the Riverdale Shidduch Group, Neve Alumnae; and is a matchmaker on Saw You at Sinai. Varda is a graduate of Stern College for Women, and has a Masters degree in Special Education.

    Miriam (Rubin) Brickman currently resides in Riverdale, NY with her husband and two children. She is an alumnus of Queens College and Azrieli Graduate School and now works as a teacher at SAR Academy. She is also a matchmaker on Sawyouatsinai.com.


    Chani Brum 

    Channie Brum is a retired attorney, currently residing in Kew Gardens Hills, with her husband, Yitzchok Brum, and their 4 children. For the past 9 years, Channie has been the official shadchan for HASHEVAYNU, a kiruv and outreach program run by Rabbi Yehuda Zakutinsky. Channie is also a very active matchmaker on SYAS. She works with people across the hashkafic spectrum, and has a particular understanding of the needs of Baalei Tshuva seeking their bashert.


    Shoshi Butler 

    Shoshi Butler, originally from Pittsburgh, lives in Chicago with her husband Ira Karoll. She works as a medical assistant to a neurodevelopmental pediatrician and plans on pursuing a degree in social work.

     

    Rifki Eichorn 

    Rifki Eichorn, originally from Flatbush, has spent the past 9 years in Atlanta, GA contributing to the growth of the community. She now resides in Monsey, N.Y. and is working as a full time Matchmaker for SYAS. Her main focus is to meet as many members as possible face to face, specifically those that belong to the shuls of the Upper West side and Upper East Side.


    Mindy Eisenman 

    Mindy is originally from West Hempstead, Long Island and has lived with her family in Monsey for the last 24 years. She holds a B.A. in Judaic Studies from Stern College and an M.A. from Azrielli Graduate School. She teaches Tanach in High School and Stern College. Mindy also teaches a course in Relationships and Taharat HaMishpacha. She is involved in many community chessed organizations and has successfully dabbled in shidduchim for over 15 years.


    Nina Eizikovitz 

    Nina Eizikovitz is originally from Fair Lawn and currently lives in Bergenfield. She started EiZivug with her husband Judah as a way to keep track of her single friends, and it has since expanded to friends of friends and beyond. Nina is fortunate to work for Yavneh Academy from home so she can care for her three children.

    Malki Feigenbaum originally from West Orange, NJ now lives in Memphis, TN. They have three super-cute girls and her husband, Aaron is a Rabbi there.

     

    David and Malka Flamholz 

    David, originally from Elizabeth, New Jersey has a degree from Brooklyn Law School and works as an attorney at Cadwalader Wickersham & Taft.

    Malka, originally from Toronto, received her computer science degree from York University and is working as a computer analyst at AllSector Technology in Manhattan.

    The Flamholzs currently reside in Washington Heights.

     

    Emily and Andrew Fuchs 

    Emily, originally from Cleveland, Ohio, now lives in Woodmere with her husband, Andrew. Emily recently graduated from NYU with her masters in social work. Andrew, originally from Ukraine/Brooklyn, is a pharmacist in Borough Park. They recently got married after meeting on YUConnects/SYAS, and look forward to helping other singles find their true soul mates.

    Jenny Gans, originally from Los Angeles, CA, currently lives in Bergenfield, NJ with her husband, Rich, and children. Jenny is a Stern College graduate and received her Master's degree in Public Health from Hunter University

    Chaya Goldsmith was born in West Virginia, grew up in Massachussetts, and now resides in Teaneck, NJ with her husband Mark, a Tax Attorney, and their children Michael and Alyssa. Chaya went to FIT and is a 5 time Earnie Award winning designer. Chaya is involved in many chessed projects in the U.S. and Israel. Chaya is part of the North Jersey & Riverdale Shidduch Groups.


    Hadassa Goldsmith 

    Hadassa (Dasi) Goldsmith, originally from Woodridge, NY, and currently living in Elizabeth, NJ, attended Stern College and graduated with a BA in English and Communications. She works for ORT America, is a freelance proofreader and is involved in her community's chesed organizations.

    Stu and Ahuva Halpern 

    Stu Halpern, from Queens, NY, is in his 4th year as Student Life Coordinator at YU after gaining a masters in psychology in Education from Teachers College at Columbia University, and is completing (hopefully) a Masters in Bible from the Bernard Revel Graduate School (where he also works part-time). He lives with his wife Ahuva in Washington Heights, who is originally from Englewood.

    Aviva is originally from Monsey, New York and now resides in Pittsburgh, PA. Aviva is a CPA and graduated from Sy Syms School of Business.

    Aviva Karoly, a native of Queens, a graduate of Stern College with a BA in Political Science. She is currently in her last semester of Cardozo Law School. She is hoping to make aliyah with her husband in the future, and is particularly sensitive to those who are looking for a life partner and wishing to make aliyah.

    Anna Kest, originally from California, currently resides in Riverdale, NY, with her husband, Dr. Benjamin Kest. Anna is an Art Teacher, actively runs the Riverdale Shidduch Group, a SYAS matchmaker, and the mother of six children and grandchidren.

    Pamela Klein, originally from Queens, has a Masters degree from the Wurzweiler School of Social Work and currently works as a therapist in a mental health clinic. She now resides in Kew Garden Hills. 

     

    Naomi and Yehuda Kohn 

    Naomi, originally from Toronto, attended Stern College and has a Master's degree in Education/Special Education. Naomi works as a developmental therapist in the Early Intervention system.

    Yehuda, originally from West Orange and a graduate of Sy Syms School of Business, works for the Royal Wine Company and enjoys playing hockey.

    The Kohns reside in Bergenfield, NJ. 


    Devora Korn

    Devora Korn is from sunny Los Angeles. Devora earned a Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy through a joint program between Stern and Columbia. She practices pediatric occupational therapy and resides in Bergenfield.

     

    Amy Krausz 

    Amy Krausz, originally from Brooklyn, NY, currently resides in Einstein while her husband attends medical school. She attended Barnard and majored in Physics / Astronomy. She currently works as a Strategist at Goldman Sachs.

     

    Evelyn Kraut

    Evelyn Kraut is a physician in a private practice in NJ. She has four married daughters ranging in age from 23-26 and lives in Fair Lawn, NJ. She has been involved with shidduchim for several years with the Fair Lawn Shidduch group. The group meets approximately every 4-6 weeks and attracts people from all over the tri-state area

     

    Sarah Landman 

    Sarah Landman, originally from Brooklyn, graduated from Hunter College where she studied towards a double major in Religion and Jewish Studies. She and her husband Dani made aliyah to Israel in August 2008. They live in Alon Shevut, where Dani is a member of the kollel in Yeshivat Har Etzion. Sarah is a member of the Advanced Talmudic Institute at Matan, an MA student in the Melton Center for Jewish Education at Hebrew University, and a faculty member at Midreshet AMIT.

     

    Tova and Moshe Lehmann 

    Moshe and Tova have been involved in matchmaking events for many years, including the YU Connects/Saw You At Sinai Shabbos Nachamu shabbatons. Additionally, they are now Connectors on YUConnects. As they were "older singles" when they met at a few singles events and then eventually got married, they understand what you guys are going through and are dedicated to making this event as enjoyable and pain-free as possible.

     

    Miriam Lowy 

    Miriam Lowy received her Master's degree from Fordham University School of Social Work and counsels in schools. She is also a certified Taharat Hamishpacha counselor. She and husband, Yosef, and family reside in Brooklyn, NY. Yosef is in his final year at RIETS and Azrieli.

     

    Allie London 

    Allie London, originally from Woodmere, is a graduate of Stern College and is currently in Touroís master program for Education and Special Education. She and her husband Eytan currently reside in Bayit Vagan as participants in Yeshiva Universityís Gruss Kollel in Israel.

    Oshra, originally from Montreal, is a therapist at the Center for Applied Psychology of Rockland County. 

    The Mogilenskys reside in Washington Heights. 

     

    Deena Morris 

    Deena Morris, originally from Teaneck, attended Stern College for undergrad, and then went to Columbia University to receive her M.S. in occupational therapy. She is currently working as a pediatric OT and resides in Passaic with her husband, Shelley, who is a Rebbe at Frisch.

     

    Betty Nissenfeld

    Betty Nissenfeld is a full time matchmaker for MJE (Manhattan Jewish Experience). She has been matching and coaching singles for 20+ years. I am married for over 30 years and have 3 adult children. She has also worked in the field of special education for the past 17 years, advocating for children with special needs and their families.


    Hinda Rabin

    Hinda grew up in South Africa and is currently living in Johannesburg, South Africa with her husband,Brad,an orthopedic surgeon and daughter, Elisheva. Hinda is a business - analyst with a Bachelors degree in Information ñ systems and Honors in Business from University of South Africa. Hinda is actively involved in the South African Jewish Community. Also, Hinda is a matchmaker on SawYouAtSinai. With her broad experience around the globe, Hinda has been fortunate to network in the U.S., U.K, Israel and South Africa.

     

    Yael Rosenbaum 

    Yael (Goldmintz) Rosenbaum, originally from Teaneck, is pursuing a PhD in clinical psychology at Fairleigh Dickinson University and currently resides in Teaneck, NJ. 

     

    Susanne (Goldstone) and Evan "Tex" Rosenhouse
    Susanne, originally from California, graduated from Stern and was active with Student Council, Model United Nations, and the Lady Macs basketball team. She is now the social media coordinator at NJOP. Evan, better known as "Tex" around YU, is originally from Dallas. While at Yeshiva he was Head Waiter, Gabbai of Rubin Shul, and active in YCDS. He is currently in RIETS and Wurzweiler pursuing his smicha and social work degrees. The couple met on the site SawYouAtSinai and are members of Mt. Sinai in Washington Heights.

    Aliza Samet, originally from Queens, NY, received her BA in Economics from Queens College. She currently resides in Baltimore, Maryland with her husband, Dr. Ronnie Samet, a YU alumni, and their four children.

    Lea Schechter, originally from Silver Spring, MD, has her masters degree in speech-language pathology from NYU. She currently works as speech therapist and as an adjunct professor in the speech and language department at Stern college. Lea resides in Washington Heights.

    Yonatan, originally from Teaneck, is a graduate of Yeshiva College and Azrieli and currently teaches limudei kodesh at The Moriah School in Englewood, NJ. He is also working toward Semikha at RIETS and an MSW at NYU's School of Social Work. Shira and Yonatan reside in Washington Heights.

    Audrey Seleski, is originally from Scarsdale, graduated Stern College, and looking forward to pursuing a degree in social work. Audrey is married to Beni, currently in the YU Smicha program and graduating from WSSW with his Master's in Social Work. Audrey and Beni currently reside in Washington Heights.

    Shira Sheps, originally from Highland Park, NJ is a senior at Stern College majoring in English Literature. She currently lives in Washington Heights with her husband, Scott who is an accountant.


    Estee Soniker  Estee Soniker, originally from Teaneck, NJ, graduated Stern College with a B.A. in early childhood education. Estee is married to Rabbi Elon Soniker, a member of the Kollel Elyon and night seder Rebbe. The Soniker's currently reside in Washington Heights with their two children.


     Mirel Stavsky 
     

    Mirel Stavsky, originally from Teaneck, NJ, currently lives in Washington Heights with her husband, Moshe, a member of the YU Kollel Elyon, and daughter. Mirel received her B.A. from Stern and her M.A. in occupational therapy from Columbia University and works as an occupational therapist in a special ed preschool in Riverdale.

    Mira Stokar, originally from Teaneck, is studying psychology at Stern College, and currently resides in Washington Heights.

    Daniel Stokar, originally from Teaneck, has a degree in accounting from Sy Syms School of Business and manages a geriatric health-care practice and resides in Washington Heights.

     

    Riki Stopnicki 

    Riki Stopnicki, originally from Teaneck, NJ, received her degree from the Sy Syms School of Business. Riki currently resides in Toronto, Canada.

     

    Rabbi Elly Storch

    Rabbi Elly Storch is the Assistant Principal at DRS HALB High School. Yafa is the Assistant Director of Extracurricular Programing at SKA HALB High School. They have been involved in programming and community service for many years. The Storchs and their family live in Woodmere.


    Miriam Tirschwell   

    Miriam Tirschwell moved to Boca Raton, Florida with her family over 12 years ago. Her husband Perry is the founding principal of Weinbaum Yeshiva High School and Miriam is a practicing Speech and Language Pathologist in public school. 

    Ilana Turetsky

    Ilana Turetsky, originally from Montreal, is a graduate of Stern College and Azrieli Graduate School. She has taught at Yeshivat Noam Elementary School and Bat Torah High School, and is currently a doctoral student at Azrieli Graduate School. Ilana resides in Washington Heights.

    Tzivia, originally from Cincinnati, Ohio graduated from Sy Syms with a BS in Business Management.She has had various jobs, most recently the Director of the Young Leadership Department at the OU. She currently resides in Brooklyn,NY with her husband Benny who is from Har Nof, Israel.She has made 3 Shidduchim so far and is looking forward to iy"h making many more. 

     

    Dr. Tova Werblowsky 

    Tova Werblowsky, originally from Queens, graduated from Queens College, and Columbia University with a PhD in Chemical Physics. She is a professor of Chemistry and Physics at Touro College for Women. Tova is married to Rabbi Yaakov Werblowsky, a Rebbe in the Mechina Program and Shoel U'Mayshiv in the Masmidim program. The Werblowskys reside in Passaic, NJ with their five children

    David, originally from West Hempstead, has been the Associate Rabbi at Congregation Ohab Zedek in the Upper West Side of Manhattan since 2005.

    Rachel, originally from Boston works as a psychologist at Ma'ayanot Yeshiva High School for Girls in Teaneck, NJ.
    The Wilenskys reside on Manhattan's Upper West Side.
     

    Simone Wruble

    Simone Wruble lives in Teaneck, NJ with her husband Steve and their 3 children. Having lived in Chicago, IL and Memphis, TN, she has contact with many people from diverse backgrounds. She owns her own invitation business, does the bookkeeping for her husband's medical practice but still finds time for her true passion:helping singles find their "zivug" in life. Simone recently formed the "Recyle-a-Date" group for singles.

     

    Yona (Schaap) Zalesch 

    Yona (Schaap) Zalesch, originally from Teaneck, holds a BA in Psychology from Stern College and a Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from Columbia University. She is an OT at a private pediatric clinic. Yona spent two years teaching in a seminary in Israel, and she and her husband recently finished the YU/Ner Le'elef kiruv training program while living in the Gruss Kollel. She is now living in Denver Colorado.
