Yitzchak Schwartz
Research Associate and CoordinatorYitzchak Schwartz is a master's student at the Bard Graduate Center for Decorative Arts, Design History and Material Culture, focusing on Jewish art and cultural history. Yitzchak coordinates the CIS' research initiatives and public programming, and is research associate for the exhibition "The Samaritans: A Biblical People," which opens at the Museum of Biblical Art (MOBIA) in Manhattan in fall 2013, and will explore Samaritan religion, history, culture and relationships with the West.
Jesse AbelmanInternJesse Abelman has worked as a research assistant on book projects for Dr. the CIS. He is a doctoral student in medieval Jewish history at the Bernard Revel Graduate School for Jewish Studies. Abelman also teaches at the Drisha Institute for Jewish Studies.
Noah GreenfieldInternNoah Greenfield is pursuing a JD/PhD at Stanford Law School and in the Jewish Studies program at the University of California, Berkeley. He earned his rabbinic ordination, MA in Bible and BA with Honors in Philosophy and Jewish Studies at Yeshiva University. He and his wife, Nava, are the proud parents of Judah.
AJ BerkovitzInternAJ Berkovitz is currently a graduate student at Yeshiva University's Bernard Revel Graduate School of Jewish Studies pursuing an MA in Bible. He thoroughly believes that the rigorous academic study of Jewish historical sources is both avodat Hashem and existentially fulfilling. His parallel passion is the study of the Land of Israel, its culture, and society. An intern at the Center for Israel Studies, he works on various projects, including the editing of "Shoshsanat Yakov: Studies in Honor of Yaakov Elman."
