YESHIVA UNIVERSITY ANNOUNCES THREE ADDITIONS TO ATHLETICS STAFF
Thompson/Alessi to assist YU Soccer programs; Arnold Ross named Women's Volleyball 2nd Assistant Coach

(New York, NY) – Yeshiva University Director of Athletics Joe Bednarsh has announced the hiring of three new Assistant Coaches to the YU Athletics Staff. Former Kalamazoo College standout and Assistant Coach Dr. Todd Thompson will join the YU Men's Soccer Staff as an Assistant Coach. Former Mount Saint Vincent goalie Alexis Alessi will serve the Yeshiva University Women's Soccer program as an Assistant Coach. Also joining the YU staff is former Mount Saint Vincent star Arnold Ross, who will serve as an Assistant Women's Volleyball Coach. All three additions will join the Yeshiva staff for the upcoming season.  More
 
OSORIO NAMED ASSISTANT WOMEN'S SOCCER COACH AT YESHIVA UNIVERSITY
Former Mount Saint Vincent two-sport standout earned nine Skyline Conference awards during stellar college athletics career

(New York, NY) – Yeshiva University Director of Athletics Joe Bednarsh has announced the hiring of Cynthia Osorio as the University’s Assistant Women’s Soccer Coach. Osorio, a recent graduate of fellow Skyline Conference program the College of Mount Saint Vincent, spent the last four years as one of the top Women’s Soccer players in the Skyline Conference, earning All-Conference honors during her final three seasons in Riverdale. She was also a four-time All-Conference selection in Soccer by the Hudson Valley Women’s Athletic Conference (HVWAC), and a two-time Skyline Conference All-Conference pick in Lacrosse. More

102 YESHIVA UNIVERSITY STUDENT-ATHLETES NAMED TO 2007-08 SKYLINE CONFERENCE SCHOLAR-ATHLETE LIST
Maccabees account for more than 20% of total Skyline Conference honorees 

(New York, NY) – 102 Yeshiva University student-athletes have been named to the 2007-08 Skyline Conference Scholar-Athlete list. With more than 20% of the total number of conference-wide honorees, Yeshiva not only had the largest representation on the list, but the Maccabees were also the only athletics program within the Skyline to reach 100 honorees. In order to qualify for the conference's Scholar-Athlete List, student-athletes must achieve a grade point average of 3.30 or higher during the semester in which they compete. The GPA for winter sport athletes is a combined fall and spring semester GPA.  More

 

ROZENBLAT NAMED ASSISTANT MEN'S BASKETBALL COACH AT YESHIVA UNIVERSITY
Former Polytechnic standout comes to YU after stops at three different area colleges

(New York, NY) – Yeshiva University Director of Athletics Joe Bednarsh has announced the hiring of Roni Rozenblat as the University’s Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach. Rozenblat, a 2001 graduate of current Skyline Conference member Polytechnic Institute of NYU, comes to Yeshiva after previous coaching stops at Gorton High School in Yonkers, New York, Sarah Lawrence College, Rockland Community College, and most recently at his alma mater, where he served as an Assistant Coach from 2005-2007. He has also been a fixture on the basketball summer camp circuit for more than a decade. More

 

BARSTON NAMED HEAD WOMEN'S TENNIS COACH AT YESHIVA UNIVERSITY
Westhill (CT) High School Head Coach has coached in the Connecticut Special Olympics and is a certified member of the USPTA

Yeshiva University Director of Athletics Joe Bednarsh has announced the hiring of John (Jay) Barston as the University’s Head Women’s Tennis Coach. Barston – the highly successful Head Boys Tennis Coach at Westhill High School in Stamford, Connecticut – has coached team tennis since 2004, and brings to Yeshiva an impressive coaching resume. More

Former conference secretary to begin two-year term on Sept. 1

(New York, NY) – Yeshiva University Director of Athletics Joe Bednarsh has been voted President of the Hudson Valley Women's Athletic Conference (HVWAC). After serving as the conference's secretary for the last two years, Bednarsh will begin a two-year term as conference President beginning on Sept. 1, 2008.  More

If you are planning on trying out for or joining a Yeshiva University varsity team, you are required to complete and submit an Athletics Health Form. The form is located in the Athletics Forms section of the YU Athletics website. Fields within the forms allow you to type directly on the form. Please type the form, print it, and follow the directions on the form. This form is required for any YU student looking to try out for a varsity team.
