Los Angeles, CA

The LA community kicked off its regional activities in May 2010 with a dessert reception and a Lag B' Omer BBQ, bringing together a few hundred YU alumni. Graduates on the West Coast will have an abundance of opportunities to engage with each other and reconnect with YU, with the addition of Sarah Emerson Helfand '03S, the new West Coast regional director for Yeshiva University. Upcoming 2011 events, including a multicommunity YU Shabbaton in March featuring a number of YU roshei yeshiva [professors of Talmud] and President Richard M.
