Updates to Facilities
Yeshiva University is constantly seeking ways to improve the quality of learning and student life on its campuses.
Recent years have seen exciting new construction, renovation and refurbishment throughout the University—from the spectacular new Jacob and Dreizel Glueck Center for Jewish Study on Wilf Campus to the Lea and Leon Eisenberg Beit Midrash for women on the Beren Campus to the Price Center at Albert Einstein College of Medicine—the largest medical facility to be built in the Bronx since 1955.
Stanton Hall
Completed in 2009, a stunning refurbishment to the exterior of Stern College for Women’s Stanton Hall celebrates YU Board member Ronald P. Stanton’s $100 million contribution to YU—the largest-ever gift in North America in support of Jewish learning and Jewish life.
Lea and Leon Eisenberg Beit Midrash at Stern College for Women
Opened in 2007, the Lea and Leon Eisenberg Beit Midrash at Stern College for Women is a beautiful, glass-enclosed space featuring a uniquely designed Aron Kodesh and many elegant architectural touches. The space accommodates up to 120 people (three times larger than the previous beit midrash).
Jacob and Dreizel Glueck Center for Jewish Study
Adjacent to the Gottesman Library, the Jacob and Dreizel Glueck Center for Jewish Study is a venue for faculty and students to study and share ideas. It contains a 470-seat beit midrash; two large, modern lecture halls; 50 faculty offices; 11 classrooms; and seminar and conference facilities.
Jacob and Dreizel Glueck Beit Midrash
Completed in 2009, the two-story, 470-seat Jacob and Dreizel Glueck Beit Midrash is the centerpiece of Torah study on the Wilf Campus. Its proximity to Gottesman Library supports YU’s Torah Umada ideals.
Nagel Family Atrium and Student Commons
A spacious, light-filled communal space adjacent to the new beit midrash, the Nagel Family Atrium and Student Commons serves as a gathering place and a hub of student activity. Amenities include a full-service café called Nagel Bagels, a lounge and wireless Internet access.
Heights Lounge
Taking its name from the Wilf Campus neighborhood, Heights Lounge is the new grand entrance to the Gottesman Library.
Price Center at Albert Einstein College of Medicine
The Michael F. Price Center for Genetic and Translational Medicine and Harold and Muriel Block Research Pavilion is the largest medical research facility to be built in the Bronx since the Albert Einstein College of Medicine opened in 1955. Supporting research focused on genetic medicine, the facility houses 40 state-of-the-art laboratories, research support facilities and a 100-seat auditorium.
