Men's Studies

Designed to meet the needs of young men from every background, Yeshiva University's four undergraduate Jewish studies programs for our men students at Yeshiva College and Syms School of Business are among the world's finest. The programs are designed for students with varying levels of experience and expertise:

• The Yeshiva Program/Mazer School of Talmudic Studies, for those interested in a classical approach
• The Irving I. Stone Beit Midrash Program (SBMP), for students interested in a chavrutah/shiur format that provides greater flexibility
• The James Striar School/Mechina Program, for those new to Jewish studies
• The Isaac Breuer College of Hebraic Studies (IBC), for those seeking an advanced and structured, yet flexible, program

Jewish studies at YU are based on classical Talmud Torah, an intensive analysis of classic Jewish texts in their Hebrew and Aramaic originals.

As a student in any one of our four programs, you will receive, upon graduation, an integrated education equivalent to two complete undergraduate educations. You will have acquired thorough development of Torah knowledge, worldview and character, and be empowered to strive for profound personal growth while leading ethical and moral lives.
